State of the Six Address: On Top of Spaghetti

INDIANAPOLIS, March 28 -- The following can be attributted to Dick Valentine:

Hello. From Indiana. My favorite state. It's got everything you need to live.

We have been malfeasant here at E6 in that we have taken this long to send a shout out to our new friend Eddie Spaghetti of the Supersuckers for joining us onstage in Vancouver a couple weeks back. He deserves recognition and thanks in a public forum. And so it shall be. The pleasure was all ours, Eddie. Thanks again.

We are 5 shows from wrapping up our North American tour. If we could, we'd go out for another 7 weeks. And it looks like we'll get our wish in the fall when we tour for our upcoming record called Switzerland, which will come out on Sept. 12 in North America. Keep a look out for everything about us becoming a tad bit more Swiss in the months to come.

To keep the good times rolling, we have signed on for some shows opening up for our friends The Psychedelic Furs this summer in the midwest and the east coast. We really appreciate them asking us to open for them and we plan to be really friendly to them all summer long. These shows will be LOW PRESSURE and SPIRITUALLY REWARDING.

And finally, to those of you in the UK, I'm crossing something off my list and finally getting around to doing a one-man solo tour of your fine chunk of land in about a month. I should be over there in late April and early May, just me and a guitar and a supply of Scotchgard and rubber cement for inspiration. So look out for that...we'll post the dates soon......it should be "funny".

Thanks to everyone who has come out to the shows on this tour.....and special thanks to Rock Kills Kid for embodying the human spirit.

I have seen these guys twice and let me tell you, they evoke a feeling in me that is 1 part uncomfortable and 1 part intrigue. Dick Valentine, the guy above (and below), has the stage presence of that bully from elementary school that you never looked at in the face. Both times I've seen them, I was forced to look away when he peers into the crowd for fear of him locking eyes with me. He has the most uncomfortable stare that will freak you out. The first time I saw them he pulled his pants down and played a song, then pulled them back up. Yea, yea, Green Day did that back in '94. Well Green Day weren't wearing a 2-piece suit (or were they? No, they weren't)... I digress. If you are in the need of a rock fix and you have ~$15 to spare, pick up Senor Smoke, you will not be sorry. Here are the tracks, I crack up over (Pleasing Interlude II)

Three of the unhealthiest snakes in America. Ranked in order.

• Entenmann's Rich Frosted Chocolate Dipped Donuts: Eat two of these, and you're downing as much saturated fat (9 grams) as in eight strips of bacon.

• Starbucks Venti Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee with whipped cream: Thanks to the equivalent of 16 teaspoons of sugar, this baby is liquid candy.

• Jamba Juice Power Peanut Butter Moo'd: Packs 1,390 calories, which is more than half your daily requirement.

If you ever had an Atari 5200 you will probably remember this game. I played it obsessively! Angus and I were just talking about it the other day and I found where someone redid it to work on a pc.

Try it out here.
